What’s My Password?
I can’t even begin to count the number of times an end-user has called me asking what their home wireless (Wi-Fi) password is. I can’t grasp how an end-user can think that I would know the password to their private home network. And yet, just today, I get an end-user calling, asking, “What’s my home wireless password? End-User Logic ?
I just had an end-user department head ask me, “Did you setup [the new girl] with e-Mail? It’s [e-Mail address].com.” (As though I don’t know the domains I manage and haven’t been working here for the past 12+ years.)
Me: “Didn’t you see the e-Mail I sent you saying she was ready to go?”
Him: “Yeah, I saw that but didn’t see her cc’ed on it.” (more…)
