By profession, I am an IT guy. My official title is Systems and Network Administrator. That’s really just fancy talk for my job is to make sure the servers, computers, and network are doing their job so my end-users can do their jobs. Glorified Grunt would be a more apropos description. I currently
manage the systems and networks of twelve different companies that reside under a parent company – my primary employer. (Lucky 13. Right?) As of October 2024, I’ve done so for just over 17 years, although I’ve been in the IT field for 30+ years. You wouldn’t believe some of the absolutely absurd things that I see and hear in my travels. So I’ve decided to start chronicling them here. Brace yourself! I hope you can laugh at the patience-trying levels of inane idiocracy with which I have to deal on a daily basis. Laughing at all this ludicrous lunacy is about all I can do if I’m to have any hope of remaining sane…and employed.
