I cannot even begin to count the number of times I have had end-users e-Mail me telling me they had no Internet connectivity.  Think I’m joking?

And I have sooooo many more of these!  I simply cannot fathom how someone can idiotically believe that, if they don’t have Internet connectivity, they can still send e-Mails.  The thing is, for 99% of the people who, “…don’t have Internet,” I do receive their e-Mails!  That, in and of itself, confirms you do indeed have Internet connectivity.  But why would you e-Mail your IT guy if you think you don’t have Internet?  This is roughly analogous to a motorist calling a mechanic, saying their car won’t run.  The mechanic says, “If you can get it down to me, I’ll take a look at it.”  To which the motorist responds, “I’ll drive it right down.”

What part of, “I have no Internet,” in your brilliant mind, translates into, “so I should e-Mail our IT guy and let him know?”
